The programme was devised with the objective to take advantage of the large site by creating outdoor areas or spaces that interrelate with the healthcare areas. The search to optimise environmental conditions, led to appreciate the benefits of using bioclimatic resources.

The development of layout on one floor level helps the management of the programmed areas and the relationships between them, also with the obvious improvement in terms of accessibility for the entire building.

Again, industrialised systems enhance the lifespan of the building by allowing for re-organisation of the building due to future changes in the requirements of the Accommodation schedule.
