Single-family house in Pozuelo de Alarcón

Pozuelo de Alarcón

Pilot project for a detached house in a small urbanisation in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid). The dwelling proposes a typology adaptable to the plot and the future user, maintaining concepts of space and function, as well as identity in relation to the rest of the dwellings in the development.

The programme develops a two-storey building with a basement for a 3-bedroom apartment. The main entrance is in the centre of the floor plan, from which all the ground and first floor rooms are articulated. At the entrance level there is an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room, while the three bedrooms are on the first floor. The outdoor areas are designed to be continuous with the indoor living areas, with large windows allowing this space to be continuous in good weather. The property includes a swimming pool.

The complexity of the type is reduced to the maximum to make it easier to adapt. The external appearance is characterised by straight volumes with openings of clear identity, whose unequal geometry responds to the spaces they serve.
