42 Social Housing

Building of social housings located in Andoain, in an area of new development with special environmental conditions due to the proximity of the train tracks, therefore requiring special soundproofing solutions.

On the basis of the predominant NE-SW orientation of the plot, and its 13 m. bay, a closed block typology was chosen, with six floors of dwellings with double orientation. Bedrooms are located to the NE, receiving sun early  in the morning, whereas living rooms and kitchens are located to the SW. The ground floor contains dwellings and three main access doors from the pedestrian square, and the basement houses the car park and the utilities rooms, with storage rooms located on the roof level.
